After months of delays Big Day Out has officially announced the second lineup of acts for the 2014 tour.
They include Primus, The Drones and CSS, along with local acts Kerser, Bluejuice, Violent Soho, Jungle Giants, All The Colours, Bliss N Eso and 360. Meanwhile, Brant Bjork lived up to his promise to be back in Australia in January with Vista Chino (formerly Kyuss/Kyuss Lives). They played their final shows as Kyuss Lives! earlier this year as part of Soundwave Festival.
Those 11 acts join the other 32 acts on the bill including headliners Pearl Jam, Arcade Fire and Blur; Snoop Dogg, Major Lazer, and The Lumineers; and the two local acts set to sweep the ARIAs next week, Flume and Tame Impala. Full lineup below.
Pearl Jam are exclusive to the Big Day Out, playing at each leg of the festival in support of new album Lightning Bolt; Blur, who haven’t toured Australia since 1997, will be playing on a newly created “Love” stage as Pearl Jam close the Blue Stage; while Arcade Fire will make their return to Australia for the first time since their Big Day Out tour in 2008. Snoop Dogg will make his Big Day Out debut, playing a “greatest hits” set, plus tracks from his reggae album as Snoop Lion, Reincarnated.
