Bluesfest have added yet another round of artists to what is shaping up to be perhaps the biggest Bluesfest ever. Ben Harper’s second Bluesfest performance for 2013 is set to be a collaboration with Charlie Musselwhite in support of their collaboration album Get Up!
Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite will join forces at Bluesfest — the place the two originally met some 17 years ago, and their Byron Bay performance will be one only a small handful of shows the two are doing worldwide in supper of the latest record.
And from two of the biggest names in Anyone who has seen the Music Maker Revue at past Bluesfests will know that this gem tucked away in a line-up full of legends is simply not worth missing. There are bigger blues names on the Bluesfest line-up but there surely isn’t better blues. Bluesfest Director Peter Noble said of the Revue, “The foundation is something very close to my heart, as it also supports the older musicians as well as musicians in need. There are simply so many good things that come out of this Foundation.”
The 24th annual Bluesfest takes place over the Easter long weekend at Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm near Byron Bay NSW.
