With only a week until the Woodford Folk Festival lands, Soulshine is profiling the picks of the 650+ line-up that the festival has to offer. This time around we feature Sydney singer-songwriter Josh Pyke.
From the moment his first track 'Kids Don't Sell Their Hopes So Fast' landed all the way through to his latest release 'Chimney's Afire,' Josh Pyke has set the Australian music scene alight with his croons, soulful lyrics and layered tracks of love, loss and everything in-between.
Josh Pyke is known for intimate sets, a witty stage manner and an uncanny knack to artfully select the best from his surprisingly large 4-year catalogue to produce a show guaranteed to entertain. In 2008, Pyke will plays the Woodford Folk Festival just once, on the 28th of December at 9:30pm at Woodford’s famous Amphitheatre stage. Be sure to check him out if you get the chance, for his live show isn't to be missed.
