The Great Escape 2008
The Great Escape

Having finally brought the global tradition of 'live-in' festivals to Sydney in 2006 and 2007, The Great Escape returns for its third year in 2008, with the grounds of Newington Armory once again playing host to a jam-packed weekend of music, camping and more.

This year The Great Escape is moving to a new date, the first weekend in October – the 'Labour Day' Long Weekend (October 4 & 5). The Great Escape will be kicking off the 2008–09 Festival season with a bang, seizing the opportunity to be the party starter and avoiding the Festival fatigue that sets in as the season grinds to a close at Easter.

It's already jam packed with headliners John Butler Trio and The Waifs,  Archie Roach, San Lazaro and Dan Sultan, but with just a couple of weeks to go before Chill Island Festival brings Churchill Island on Phillip Island to life, organisers have announced the addition of another band to the line up: up and comers, White Summer.
St Jerome's Laneway Festival
With the festival season in full swing, line up announcements are coming thick and fast. The St Jerome’s Laneway Festival is no different, with the announcement of even more renowned local and international acts added to its already impressive line up.
Ruthie Foster Tour Announced
Noone can deny that one of the joys of the big festivals is the rich abundance of overseas acts they bring to our shores. Take for example Ruthie Foster.
