Jesse Morris and the 3 Beans debut album and tour dates

From the heart and soul of the Sydney roots music scene, the Newtown based Jesse Morris and the 3 Beans release their long awaited self titled debut album in conjunction with a tour of the east coast through September & October.

A collision of styles spanning flavours of reggae, blues, folk, dub and rock blending an array of instruments including melodica, flute, trumpet, sax, violin, ukulele, harmonica & percussion. The album features the writing of songsmith Jesse Morris in conjunction with the 3 Beans - Lucille Wilson, Andrew Hutchings & Shane Kellahan with collaborations from a series of featured guests including Simon Kay on trumpet, Scotty D-Tech MC, Jirka Nemec on sax, Pat Torres on bass & Jesse’s own father on slide guitar - John Morris from the Blues Preachers.

Track 1 & the first single off the album Recycle takes a look at the bands beloved inner west of Sydney and its changing face driven by the advances of a conservative generation. “It’s a tongue in cheek tune about people pretending to be green because it’s cool”... says Morris...”people should just be themselves”. 2010 saw Jesse Morris and the 3 Beans released globally alongside Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen & Florence and the Machine via the Ministry of Sounds compilation - Uncovered vol2. They have six Australian and three New Zealand tours under their belts and have previously released four EPs and one live album. To call this album ‘long awaited’ & ‘overdue’ is an understatement.

A must have in the collection for all lovers of blues, roots and reggae music. A live show not to be missed featuring guests and cameo performances from some of Australia’s prominent roots players. The self titled debut album will be available from the 15th of September - via foghorn records, MGM distribution, itunes and all good retailers.
