Dean Carroll Earthworker hits the road
20 August 2010 by Richard Wilson
This spring, Dean Carroll Earthworker will begin his first single tour from the forthcoming album ‘Seeds of Light’ (Album available January 2011). Namely, ‘The Who’s Comin’ Along Tour’ will take him through various parts of the Sunshine coast of QLD, down to Sydney and Windsor in NSW and then back up to his current hometown of Darwin NT. Some of the shows will be with his full four-piece band, and others will be intimate and colourful solo performances.
The single ‘Who’s Comin’ Along’ will be accompanied by a live film clip that captures the heart and soul of this upbeat blues rock (with a hint of pirate! - yes, Pirate!) and will be available for viewing through his website: www.earthworker.com.au
Dean will follow this up with a second single in November, backed with a new film clip, and an album release in January 2011 with shows all across Australia and Japan.
The Sydney-born singer/songwriter spent his infant years under the strict seven-year schedule of classical piano directed and influenced by his Mother and older Sister. From here Dean rocked his way through high school on guitar and bass guitar writing classic alternative hard rock and Metal. It was here Dean started teaching himself to sing and play anything he wanted. Years past and Dean found himself in 5 years of service singing for Sydney 4 piece Metal Core outfit. This gave Dean all his songwriting, singing and industry experience which finally led him to the writings of Seeds of Light his debut solo album due out Summer 2010/11.
Dean spent the best part of six months traveling Australia busking and writing the album - which is still blessed with riffs and melodies he’s held onto since 2007.
Originally beginning his journey down in southern NSW Perisher Valley, Dean ventured back up the east coast of Australia all the way to Cairns and then across the desert and north to Darwin. With nothing but his guitar and Didge, Dean survived and lit the way he envisioned his song writing to become.
