Meredith ballots now open

As Splendour in the Grass winds down, the entire world's attention is now solely focused on the upcoming summer of festivities, with various announcements imminent. Today Victoria's iconic cult festival Meredith have kicked things off with the opening of their annual ticket ballot for their 20th anniversary.

Meredith, like other festivals faced with higher demand than supply for tickets, engage in an annual ballot system that randomly allocates tickets to interested parties that have submitted their details in advance of the ticket sale date. Punters have until August 16 (10pm) to get their details in to be in the draw.

Existing subscribers will have received the necessary info in their inbox, but if you're new to the world of Meredith, you'll need to subscribe.

There will be two ticket draws. On August 18 existing subscribers will be notified if they have been successful, and then on August 27 the remaining tickets will be divvied up among new subscribers. If you win you'll be sent a special key that'll grant you access to the online box office.

The 2010 lineup is yet to be released, but Aunty Meredith assures us that it'll be just as good as always. And Meredith is as much about everything else as it is the music.
