Will Stoker & The Embers To Release Debut Album April 16th 2010
4 March 2010 by Soulshine News
Perth quintet Will Stoker & The Embers will release their long-awaited self-titled debut album on April 16th 2010 through Shock Entertainment.
After taking a break during second half of 2009, that saw Will Stoker head over to Europe to play solo shows and write news songs for the album, the band then headed into Underground Studios in Perth during January 2010 to record 11 tracks with local producer Adam Round.
The resulting self-titled album captures the urgent live essence and excitement the band are renowned for and documents the rapid progression toward musical maturity the 5-piece have made since the release of their 5 Beds For Bitsy EP in 2008.
Will Stoker & The Embers have now developed into an outfit fully aware of their capabilities, producing a debut record that displays the song craft, musicianship and originality that marks them as a band worth watching out for in 2010.
Will Stoker & The Embers will launch their debut record at The Rosemount Hotel in Perth on the 16th of April and will then tour the East Coast of Australia in May.
The first single to be lifted from the album ‘The King’ will go to radio on March 22nd.
