Over the Easter weekend, the historic Point Nepean Quarantine Station, closed to the public for most of its 155 year history, will be host to some of the worlds most talented blues and roots performers.

Easter means blues at Byron Bay with BEN HARPER and the Innocent Criminals, JOHN MAYER, and MISSY HIGGINS among those performing at the annual East Coast Blues and Roots Festival. Now Melbourne joins the circuit with the inaugural POINT NEPEAN - A Music Experience at which artists from the same line up of international and local musicians will perform over the April 7 and 8 weekend.

The Melbourne event will be staged on the shores of Port Philip Bay at the heritage-listed Point Nepean Quarantine Station, a village like setting of heritage buildings redolent with mystery and history and Victoria’s best kept secret, given that it has been closed to the public for most of its 155-year history.

This festival with a difference features more than 20 blues, jazz, roots, rhythm and reggae performers on two outdoor stages,
with performances from 1pm-11pm both days.

The line-up features:
Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, John Mayer, Missy Higgins, Taj Mahal, Ozomatli, Bela Fleck & The Flecktones, Tony Joe White and The Waifs, along with a host of other great acts.

Adding to the experience will be the picnic atmosphere, created by a food and produce market showcasing the best of the Mornington Peninsula’s gourmet fare. As the Quarantine Station is set within the Point Nepean National Park there will be opportunities also to visit the historic defence fortifications at Point Nepean via regular transporter tours leaving from the festival site.

Tickets to both days of the Festival are still available!
