Melbourne born, 23 year old Ben Campain has charged onto Australia's live music scene leaving audiences mesmerised. The charming and charismatic guitarist with his poetic lyrics and heartfelt melodies reveals a humble and sincere personality through songs that will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions. On witnessing such a performance it is hard to believe this talented singer/songwriter only picked up a guitar four years ago.

In late 2005, Ben Campain became The Benson Campain on entering, and then dominating, The Independent Artists Competition at Rubys in Belgrave. The explosive two piece duo took out first prize and the journey began. By this point percussionist/ beat-box extrodinare Nik Veldhuis had found a place in bringing his own new flavour to the gig. The transformation into a two piece became a positive addition to recruiting a massive base of fanatics on the way. The sound is infectious.

The Benson Campain covers every base. A love of story telling with an eagerness to push the boundaries of their own fresh sound is clear in songs like Cruise and Miss My Friends. Songs such as The Aussie Song, is a perfect example of Campain's heart for social justice and love for his country. The boys cover everything, from soul barring intensity, to heavier rock, to true aussie folk. The lads have a serious side but are also not afraid to dabble in random elements of quirkiness for the amusement of themselves and others.

Having already played with the likes of Ash Grunwald, Mia Dyson, Blue King Brown and Carus to name a few, with regular gigs at the Evelyn Hotel and Rubys Lounge.
