Award winning Canadian musician Joel Plaskett is no stranger to our country, touring almost annually due to overwhelming fan feedback and critical acclaim. This time flying solo without his band, the Emergency, he plays the Vanguard as a sideshow to the Sunshine & Clouds traveling revue and once again, Soulshine’s Max Easton is on the ground to check out another successful Plaskett gig.
Sunshine & Clouds Tour - The Basement, Sydney (17th Jan, 2008)
Local favourite Old Man River recently joined forces with Canada's Joel Plaskett and The Whitlam's Tim Freedman for the Sunshine & Clouds tour; a three man travelling revue backed by the Cuthbert & The Nightwalkers choir through January and early February. Luckily, this tour won't go unrecorded, as Soulshine was there last Thursday at the Basement in Sydney for the seventh show of the tour.

The Beautiful Girls in Brisbane (12 December 07)
The Beautiful Girls recently hit the road again for one last tour of 2007 in support of their Ziggurats album. Playing to a near capacity crowd at Brisbane's The Tivoli, the band played a set filled with the band's eclectic dub/reggae/acoustic/rock sounds.
